Recommended for all skin types, particularly good for oily, congested skin and increasingly popular with teenage and men’s ranges. Best suited to rinse off products.
Solubility: Charcoal beads are not designed to dissolve into your formula, instead they can be suspended through a water-based product using a suitable gelling agent, or can be gently mixed into an emulsion.
Use Levels: 0.5-5%
pH Stability: 6.5-8.
Appearance: Small hard black beads that will soften, but not discolour your base product until skin application. On application, the softened beads will break and base will turn grey and have the visual appearance of a charcoal based product. The more beads in the formula, the more dramatic the colour change.
