Menthyl Lactate is an ester of Menthol and Lactic Acid, and is a solid cooling agent and fragrance component for cosmetics. It can be utilized as a replacement where Menthol is typically used.
It can be used in a variety of personal care products such as:

- Toothpaste
- Shampoo and conditioners
- Lotions
- Perfume
- Tobacco
- Flavours
- Other products where cooling effects are desired
Solubility: Alcohol - around 4g Methyl Lactate can be dissolved into 40% Alcohol at room temp and up to 75g/100g in 60% alcohol. Oils.
Heat Stability: Heat stable.
Melting Point: 40-42C.
