Myrrh for skin has been around a long time. For centuries, it's been used in traditional Chinese medicine for its healing properties. Myrrh has natural anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties that is used for eczema, athlete's foot and minor skin irritation.
Myrrh is applied directly to the mouth for soreness and swelling, inflamed gums (gingivitis), loose teeth, canker sores, bad breath, and chapped lips. It is also used topically for hemorrhoids, bedsores, wounds, abrasions, and boils.
In foods and beverages, myrrh is used as a flavouring component.
