The combination of Benzyl Alcohol with Dehydroacetic acid makes this best suited to products with a pH of 6 or lower, where it is able to achieve broad-spectrum protection.
Recommendations for usage: Use 1.0% in most formulations but has an activity range between 0.2-1%. Best added during cool-down when the temperature has fallen below 45°C.
pH activity range: 3 - 6.
Solubility: Water soluble.
Compatibility: Compatible with most ingredients used in the Personal Care Industry.
Applications: Use in creams, lotions, body butters, sun protection and sun care products, lipsticks, liquid and cream makeups, eyeliners, pressed powders, mascaras, styling gels as well as shampoos and conditioners.
